Memory - Bulletin- Gratitude Board Craft
From Memory Board to Gratitude Board to Pizza Pan Craft
The Back Story:
As all cold Januarys, I do less and am not my usual happy self. I don’t go out unless I have to or am dragged out by my friends for movie night. I am definitely my most ungrateful in the early part of each year.
It was early in the year of 2008 when the following quote came into my life for the first time. My bestie, my sister & I were watching our first movie of the New Year “A Love Song for Bobby Long” starring John Travolta. I cannot recommend the movie, but I highly recommended the quote that I first accredited to Bobby Long, but later found it was a Robert Frost quote.
Gratitude - Craft Inspired Quote:

Happiness makes up in height for what it lacks in length -Robert Frost
At the same time I was happily obsessed with this quote, I found a memory board, which I call a bulletin board, on sale at Aldi’s. So I decided to buy the board, hang it in my kitchen, and put mementos of all the little fun things we do through out the year, starting with a photo from the movie “Bobby Long”, as it was our first of the New Year movie night. This became my gratitude board!

Gratitude Board Craft -- Pizza Pan
Gratitude Board Quote Craft |
There is always Dots Candy on my gratitude board as they always throw them out in the Homecoming Parade.
This was always a big score for my older sister, so we always grab them for her when she's not with us!
This was always a big score for my older sister, so we always grab them for her when she's not with us!
So at the beginning of 2009, I wondered what to do with 2008 tickets, pictures, game pieces, little mementos, etc. that I had on my Gratitude Board to clear the way for another year of fun! Looking at the colors of my kitchen, I decided to hot glue mementos of my 2008 memory board to a new pizza pan. I had to drop some of the mementos from the list, cut some down to a smaller size and even use the borders of the pan. To make it hangable, I hot glued a coke tab to the back of the pizza pan. I hang the gratitude pans in my kitchen too.
