Happy Birthday Party Game- Favorite Songs

Personalize Birthday Party Game with your Guest Of Honors Favorite Music

This was originally played at a 50th Birthday party so the main music group was 80’s music.  Personalize this game to your music lovers likes.

NOTE: It is not necessary to know the person’s favorite song.  Just his or hers general likes and dislikes.

For each player including yourself and birthday honoree, make a group of 11 pre-printed (2” x 2”) cards of song’s you know the birthday boy loves, but some he just likes okay, and a couple he may hate.  Plus also a card that says 3 points on one side and is blank on the other.  Put each group of cards in alphabetical order by song title.

Have the guests (including birthday honoree) arrange the cards face down in the order they believe is the honoree's favorite to least favorite song.

On the blank side of the 3 point card, have the guest put what they believe is his favorite song that is not in the game.  Place the card so that 3 Points is showing, not the answer. This is the tie breaker answer.

Birthday Party Music Cards, Each gets a stack (paperclip part of photo) and arrange face down favorite to hate song, with 3 point favorite write-in answer.

After the guest has put in order (faced down the order of the best to worst song and filled out their 3 point card, then the person who is to the left of the birthday person will go first (for each round) and flip over the first card which should represent the birthday person's favorite song.  Then the next person will flip over their card. The birthday person will go last and flip over the correct answer.  All those who got it right will keep their card, all those who got the answer wrong will discard the incorrect card to the middle discard pile.

At the end of the game, before the three point card is revealed, see if there is a winner.  That would be the person who has the been able to keep the most cards.  If there is a tie, then the three point card comes into play.  Have the tied players flip over the write-in answers.  Whichever answer the birthday boy likes best will be the winner.

Suggested prize for the game winner:  At the crafts store, you can get make your own buttons (pin-back).  Have a young picture of the birthday boy with the words “I know ____(his name) along with some candy.

Here’s what our birthday honoree’s list of songs in order of like to dislike:
